Shadow continues to mature into a lovely doe and is one of the very best, if not the best that I currently own. She blends well throughout the shoulder, has a gorgeous rump and is incredibly level, wide, and deep. She is absolutely beautiful for her age and is very friendly, hence her name! She is one of the best does I have the pleasure of owning.

Shadow was competitive as a dry yearling, placing 3/16 in both rings at the only show we went to in 2022. The judge said that the top 3 does in the class were all very consistent amongst each other and that the differences between them were very miniscule, it was a hard pick! I am glad Shadow holds promise for the future.

Shadow was bred to *B HLFM GR Seattle Sunrise and kidded out alone, while I had my back turned to her in the barn for 2 seconds with a buck and a doe. She didn't even make a peep. Her first freshening udder was lovely, proving to have the best height out of all of my does in the barn. She also had a ton of capacity for a FF, milking out 3 pounds on her first fill. I am excited to see her grow next year.

Shadow, now affectionately called Kermit AKA Kermie because of her smile that looks like Kermit the Frog, was bred to *B Sunnydale Farm MH Nadir, and this was a breeding I do not regret by any means. She had 2 does and yet again, kidded on her own when I was not around (she's going to be one of those goats) with 2 does. One did not end up making it, but the other did and we retained her. Jarrah has turned out to be the nicest junior in my barn, and was very competitive this show season. Shadow had the year off from showing and milking, but we are excited to get her on test in 2025. Maybe not showing though, since she was very nervous at her last one! She is the sweetest doe ever, walks with no issue for me, never makes a peep or fights anyone, and has never had trouble kidding. I love her so much, brood does are worth their weight in gold.

I couldn't help myself! We did a repeat breeding from last year with *B Sunnydale Farm MH Nadir. Fingers crossed I get another doe!
